Air Leakage Test Part L2B Regulations: Relevant to Existing Non-Residential Buildings

The construction of extensions to existing buildings. that are not dwellings, where the total useful floor area of the extension is greater than 100m2 and greater than 25 per cent of the total useful floor area of the existing building.

Extensions to existing commercial buildings.

For extensions that exceed these parameters, an Air Leakage Test will need to be carried out in accordance with L2A.

Ordinarily it is just the new extension that is tested but you should liaise with Building Control to confirm this
